The Guys & Gals Golf Committee hopes that you and all your family members have been and still are in good health. We want to give you an update on the Guys & Gals Golf Tournament that the Committee hopes to have this year. We have met with Three Rivers Golf Course manager Lance Satcher and now will share what we have come up with for the 2020 Annual Guys & Gals Golf Tournament.
To make the tournament as safe as possible (and still have it), the Committee has moved the tournament date to August 29th and 30th. With a later date, we are hoping some of the restrictions we are following now may be lifted. Even then, there will have to be changes made for the safety of all involved. We will have tee times and foursomes instead of shotgun and six-somes. We will not do a dinner nor have breakfast goodies. Instead there will be a sack lunch for each person each day. There will be limits as to how many golfers can be on the range or on the putting green at one time. There will also be a limit on how many people can be in the golf shop at a time. Everyone will be asked to use social distancing on or off the golf course. Lance plans to institute a robust cleaning regime of the carts as well as everything in the building. Sign-in and dispersal of scorecards will be done outside while observing social distancing between teams. The purpose of these measures will be to make golfing in the tournament as safe as possible and still have a competitive, fun tournament.
We hope that you will be able to join us this year. If possible, we would very much like to have feedback from you regarding the set-up of the tournament. We also will try to provide updates about the tournament on this page, especially if conditions improve (or become more difficult).
Hope to hear from you soon. Please stay safe.
