Three Rivers Women’s 18-Hole Golf Club is a group of women who regularly tee it up for 18 holes on Tuesday mornings, beginning with the last Tuesday in March and continuing through October. A different competition is played each week. We plan fun yet competitive, sometimes individual, sometimes team, golf outings. Our members represent a variety of golfing skills. We play the game according to the rules of golf, but an enjoyable experience is our main objective.
Unless otherwise noted, the entry fee for each competition is $2. There is also an optional chip-in pot ($0.50). Players are asked to be on hand by 7:45 a.m. Tee groups and times are drawn out of a hat at 8:00 a.m. CLICK HERE for a list of events, which can also be found under the WOMEN’S CLUB tab.
Play starts in 2018 with a Chapman format event on Tuesday, March 27th and concludes with a scramble on Tuesday, October 30th with the 9-Hole Ladies Club.
Meetings are held in the Scottie Dog Café (above the Three Rivers Pro Shop), usually on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m., with exceptions this year in July and August when the meetings will be the first Tuesday. This year’s first meeting is scheduled for April 10th. A competitive event follows the meetings.
Membership fee is $56, which includes the annual GHIN handicap fee for the USGA. There is also a $5 optional fee for the Hole-in-One Club. For more information, please contact our Treasurer Melody Ott at (360) 577-9055. Or CLICK HERE to download a PDF membership application form that you can print; mail the form with your entry fee to: Melody Ott; 2502 Allen Street; Kelso WA 98626. Membership forms are also available in the women’s locker room above the pro shop.
As previously noted, our members represent a wide range of skill levels, and new members are especially welcome. The club’s goals are to promote interest in golf among women, and to help women have a keener knowledge of the rules and etiquette of the game of golf. We like to meet new people and play golf regularly.

The Summer Tournament will be a one-day, “Modified Match Play” format event on June 19th. Participants will be divided into two teams of equal handicaps. The participants of one team will then compete with the participants on the other team whose handicap is equal or as close to equal as possible. In each match, the winner will be the golfer who wins the most holes in their respective match using handicaps. Winners will share equally the tournament proceeds. The cost for this event is $5. Participants must sign up and pay no later than June 12th.
Heritage Bank Women’s Scramble
One of the highlights of our year is sponsoring the Heritage Bank Women’s Scramble. With the help of Three Rivers Golf Course, we are able to put on this highly popular women’s tournament. A significant part of the sponsor money raised for the tournament has been given to local charities for the past several years.
The Heritage Bank Women’s Scramble will be held on July 18th and 19th of 2018. This competition features two-woman teams in a scramble format. The competition is open to women with a current USGA handicap. Entries must be postmarked no later than July 9th. Entries received before June 26th will be eligible for a $10 price reduction.
Please see a separate page under the WOMEN’S CLUB tab for more information about this event and a sign-up form (when finalized).
The Club Championship is a two-day, 36-hole “Medal Play” event. This year’s dates are August 14th and 15th. The Club Champion will be the person with the lowest gross score for the two days. The person with the lowest net score will be awarded Low Net of the Field. There will also be other awards for gross and net within divisions, with the number of divisions depending on the number of entries. Sign-ups begin July 24th and end on August 7th. Cost to participate is $10, and must be paid by August 7th. Members must have participated in at least six Daily Play events or “qualified rounds” at Three Rivers Golf Course.
